PASCAGOULA, Miss., March 31, 2026 — Marissa Badenhorst has been named Refinery Director of the Chevron Pascagoula and Pasadena Refineries, effective May 1, 2026. Badenhorst succeeds Tim Potter, who is retiring after 36 years of Chevron service.

“It has been a privilege and an honor to lead Pascagoula and Pasadena,” Potter said, “particularly the dedicated men and women who make these refineries an essential part of delivering safe, reliable, and ever cleaner energy to the world. I am confident in the Pascagoula and Pasadena Refineries’ continued success because together, we own our future.”

Badenhorst most recently has served as Chevron’s Chief Health, Safety and Environment Officer and Badenhorst has deep experience in downstream operations. After joining Chevron in 2000 as a process engineer at the company’s South Africa refinery, she has advanced through leadership roles spanning operations, maintenance and reliability, engineering and safety organizations.

“I’m excited to be returning to the Pascagoula Refinery and to also lead the Pasadena Refinery,” said Badenhorst. “Pascagoula has long been a special place for me, not just because of the scale and complexity of the operation, but because of the people who make it run safely and reliably every day. What I’m most proud of, and most looking forward to rejoining, is the strong culture of operational excellence, teamwork, and care for the surrounding communities at both sites. I’m excited to work alongside our employees and partners to build on these strengths, keep people safe, and continue delivering value for the communities and customers who depend on us.”

Chevron’s Pasadena and Pascagoula refineries are the core of the company’s Gulf Coast refining system, delivering reliable energy products to the U.S. and global markets. The Pascagoula Refinery is the company’s largest wholly owned refinery, with a capacity of 369,000 barrels per day and produces motor gasoline, jet fuel, diesel and premium base oil. The Pasadena Refinery in Texas processes 125,000 barrels per day, with enhanced flexibility to handle lighter Permian crudes and produce a broader slate of products, including jet fuel. Everywhere it operates, Chevron is committed to operating safely, supporting local communities, and advancing environmental stewardship
