    Setting Sail for the Future: Pascagoula Propeller Club Launches 2026 Maritime Leadership Scholarship

    The Pascagoula Propeller Club is proud to announce the 2026 Maritime Leadership Scholarship, proudly sponsored by the Pascagoula Bar Pilots. This scholarship was created to recognize and support outstanding Jackson County students who demonstrate strong academic performance, leadership potential, and an interest in the future of the maritime industry.

    Scholarship Overview

    • One $1,000 one-time scholarship will be awarded.
    • The scholarship is open to high school seniors attending a Jackson County school.
    • Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

    Application Requirements
    Applicants must submit the following:

    1. Completed scholarship application
    2. A typed 1,500-word essay addressing the following prompt:
      “What do you see as the biggest challenges for the continued growth and success of the maritime industry and what suggestions do you have for the industry to overcome those challenges?”
    3. Two letters of recommendation, including one from a school counselor.

    All application materials must be submitted to the Propeller Club of Pascagoula Scholarship Selection Committee no later than April 15, 2026. The scholarship recipient will be announced in

    This scholarship represents the Propeller Club’s continued commitment to developing the next generation of maritime leaders along the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
