Ocean Springs, MS – A grant of $50,000 has been awarded to Community Care Network/Sue’s Home by the organization, 50 Women Gulf Coast, in order to support and expand their Breakthrough Youth program which serves youth ages 18-24, most of whom are aging out of foster care.
“Community Care Network is deeply grateful to be selected as the recipient of this funding. Among our three programs, Breakthrough Youth has become our largest and most comprehensive. As the need for safe housing, life skills training, transportation, and other services has increased, so have our expenses. Thankfully, 50 Women Gulf Coast is bridging the gap. Through matching funds, their $50,000 award will be doubled to $100,000, enabling us to further support this vulnerable population. We sincerely appreciate their time, talent, and generosity throughout the process.” – said Allyson Brewer, Associate Director of Community Care Network
Founded in 2003, Community Care Network is a 501(c)(3) faith-based non-profit dedicated to creating safe environments and healthy living programs for women, children, and families facing trauma-related homelessness. They strive to help clients reenter the community as purpose-driven, loving, and independent individuals, fulfilling the call of Christ.
“This is the inaugural year of 50 Women Gulf Coast and we are thrilled to be able to do so much for one organization. It is our hope to continue to support charitable organizations on the Coast through our continued philanthropic efforts, “said organization founder, Joey Conwill.
