For a successful happy hour, I think you should have some good conversation, cold drinks, maybe some tasty grub, and most importantly…a great deal. Let’s take a trip across the Mississippi Gulf Coast for happy hour with ten deals you have to try out this summer.

BACCHUS ON THE BEACH in Pass Christian is open seven days a week, offering happy hour 2-6 pm every day. A classy setting with plenty of seating inside and out and situated directly across from the Pass Christian Harbor, this spot offers a relaxing view. You can’t talk about Bacchus without mentioning the pork chop special on Mondays. This happy hour is so loved, you’ll want to be there early.

CUZ OLD TOWN OYSTER BAR AND GRILL in Bay St. Louis has customers raving about their seafood!  A festive atmosphere and a great stop when in Bay St. Louis, happy hour is Monday through Friday from 4-7 pm with discounts on both cold beer and cocktails.

FELIX’S RESTAURANT in Gulfport on Beach Drive offers a beach view. The perfect spot to stop for great-tasting Louisiana seafood, fresh oysters, and all those Cajun favorites. There are two bars, and during happy hour, you can get 2 for 1 drinks and $1 oysters. Look for live bands on most weekends.

KELLY’S SPORTS PUB in the Gulfport Downtown District pours 37 different draft and craft beers. With over a dozen televisions, this is the place to watch your favorite sports teams. When ordering a beer on tap, should the keg tap-out, you receive a free Kelly’s t-shirt. The happy hour includes daily food and drink specials. Don’t hesitate to stop in early for a cold one as they open at 3 pm.

THE REEF BILOXI on Beach Blvd has a great view of the beach, especially at sunset. There is a beach bar with specialty drinks, so take in the view or walk along the boardwalk. There are some great rocking bands that play in the evening on weekends at the SkyBar, so check the lineup if you are looking to hang out.

ADVENTURES PUB & SPIRITS in Biloxi is a casual fun stop with a full, tasty menu and attentive service. This is the perfect place to meet friends, family, or co-workers as it’s definitely one of the most renowned local hangouts in Biloxi. Happy hour is Monday through Friday from 4-7 pm. Join the fun with an old friend or come make new ones!

OLD BILOXI FILLIN STATION is a cool place for a drink or to eat as the building had been a gas station back in the day. So, come fill up when in Biloxi. A favorite dish is their crawfish nachos, but you can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. Daily lunch specials and half-off happy hour drinks last from 4-5 pm with additional drink specials until 6 pm.

CHARRED STEAK & OYSTER BAR in Ocean Springs is a classy gem for happy hour. Tuesday through Saturday, there are drink specials on beers, well cocktails, and wine. That is only the beginning as there are nightly food specials on their tacos, 10 oz. filet, pork chops, and more. Stop for the happy hour; stay for the great food.

KNUCKLEHEADS on the corner of Porter Ave and Washington in Ocean Springs is the perfect place for ice-cold beers. They have plenty of taps with craft and domestic beers. On Tuesday, happy hour is all day with a $5 pitcher special, and how about all you can eat Royal Reds on Wednesday. Come by for a good time. The staff is amazing and the menu is more than unique.

CAPONE’S RESTAURANT & SPEAKEASY LOUNGE has happy hour Wednesdays from 4-6 pm on wine and cocktails. Located on the Gulf Hills Golf Course, come play a few holes of golf and enjoy one of their daily food specials. Open Wednesday through Sunday for lunch and dinner.

I invite you to take some time, enjoy your summer, and try a few of these creative and fun hot spots along the coast. To help you out, you can click the name of each place to check their Facebook for more details as specials may change.
