Biloxi Shuckers Corporate Partnerships Coordinator Stephanie Chapman has been awarded the Women in Baseball Leadership Scholarship, one of four scholarship recipients among female executives in Minor League Baseball. Chapman was selected for the scholarship from a pool of female executives from various levels and leagues across Minor League Baseball. 

With a goal of constructing a new building to provide the more than 1,700 student veterans, service members and their families with a home of their own on The University of Southern Mississippi’s Hattiesburg campus that is commensurate with the honor of which they are so deserving, the USM Foundation announces a $2.4 million fundraising initiative to make the facility a reality.

For the past 31 years, Pascagoula Pride has worked to beautify the city of Pascagoula. As part of these efforts, the group recognizes the beautification efforts of community members with monthly and annual awards. Annual awards were given last week out to a number of community locations that have made a commitment to beautifying their property.

The National Science Foundation (NSF) has selected the Gulf – Caribbean Oceanographic Consortium, cooperatively led by The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) and the Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium (LUMCON), to operate the third new oceanographic research ship to carry out regional scale research in the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean.
