    Libraries to Close for 4th of July holiday.

    Pascagoula, MS __All Jackson-George Regional Library System branches will be closed Tuesday, July 4th, in observance of 4th of July and reopen Wednesday, at regular hours.  Book drops will be open for returning items, and all online services will be available for cardholders’ renewals, holds, and e-services.     DIY Patriotic Windsock

    GAUTIER, MS __ Monday, July 3rd at 6 pm, come to the Gautier Public Library for a fun night of “4th of July” themed crafts. At no cost to you create your own 4th of July windsock. For adults 18 and older. Supplies are limited. Call the Library to sign up.

    Christmas in July

    Reverse Coloring Page Youth Program

    LUCEDALE, MS __ Hey there! Are you a fan of coloring books? If so, you won’t want to miss out on our upcoming program on Thursday, July 6th at 4 pm. We’ll be exploring the latest trend in coloring books, reverse coloring pages! Learn how to make your own Instagram-worthy pages and see what all the hype is about.     Harry Potter Teatime Youth Program

    Anxiety & Stress 101: Trauma

    LUCEDALE, MS __ Do you find yourself struggling with healthy relationships and self-worth due to past traumas? Are you easily triggered emotionally, or do you often withdraw completely? If so, you may benefit from attending a presentation by D’Wanda Schwarz of the A.L.A.N. Group on Thursday, July 13th at 4:00 pm. In today’s world, stress and anxiety are constant, but with new tools to pause and de-stress, you can improve your quality of life and find greater happiness and fulfillment.

    Seven Week Emotional Intelligence Workshop

    LUCEDALE, MS __ Join us for a 7-week (Thursdays: July 27, August 3, 20, 24, 31 and September 7, 2023 @ 4:00 pm) Emotional Intelligence workshop where we will dive deep into the ways that our ingrained habits can cause unhealthy and unproductive patterns in our relationships. These patterns can limit our ability to truly connect with ourselves and others. In this course, you will learn from D’Wanda Schwarz of A.L.A.N. Group, who will guide you through gaining insight and using tools to effectively handle anxiety and stress, transform conflicts, break the drama cycle, and work with forgiveness when you’re ready.     OS Library Closes its Doors @ Mary C. to Prepare for Grand Re-Opening 

    OCEAN SPRINGS, MS __ The Ocean Springs Municipal Library @ The Mary C.     OCEAN SPRINGS, MS __ It’s July and you might be wondering if Santa can visit during this time of the year. Well, the answer is yes, he can!     Pascagoula Public Library Presents: Summer Spice Library

    PASCAGOULA, MS __ Pascagoula Library is hosting a Summer Spice Library event all throughout July. They’ve partnered with Friends of the Pascagoula Library, Los Villarreal Mexican Store, and Jack’s by the Tracks to introduce us to different spices from all over the world. Every week, try out a new spice pack and check out cookbooks to use the spices in our own cooking.

    Free Medicare Education Classes

    ST. MARTIN, MS __ Join us for a free Medicare educational meeting July 10 at 3:00 pm, conducted by a Benefits Advisor specializing in Medicare. Some topics that will be covered include how and when to enroll in Medicare, Medicare Health Plan Coverage Choices, and Prescription Drug Plans. There will also be time for a question-and-answer session towards the end of the program.

    ST. MARTIN, MS __ On Thursday, July 13 at 5:00 pm, there will be a patriotic night of fun and fellowship where we’ll be painting and assembling corks into an American Flag.     Beginner Crochet @ St. Martin Library

    ST. MARTIN, MS __ Join us for an introductory crochet class happening on Saturday, July 22 and August 19 from 10-12 pm. Anyone, regardless of skill level, is welcome to attend.     DIY Hair Bows: Learn to Make Bows for Your Little Ones

    VANCLEAVE, MS __ On Thursday, July 27th at 4 pm, the Vancleave Public Library is hosting a bow-making workshop! Miss Kendra is going to be leading the workshop and she’s generously volunteered her time and talent to teach us all how to make bows. It’s perfect timing for back-to-school season! If you’re interested, you’re welcome to bring extra ribbons and hair clips to expand your creativity. The workshop is open to ages 12 and up, but supplies are limited so you’ll need to call the library to reserve your spot. Hope to see you there!

    CPR Certification

    VANCLEAVE, MS __ Renew or obtain a new CPR certification on Saturday, July 29th at the Vancleave Public Library starting at 9 am. The class is four hours long and will be taught by a certified instructor. It’s important to note that space is limited, so you’ll need to register in advance to secure your spot. To do so, you can either call 228-826-5857 or stop by the front desk to sign up.
