    Pokemon Jubilee! Celebrate Pokemon Day 

    HURLEY, MS __ The East Central County Public Library will host a  Pokémon Jubilee with trivia and crafts for all ages on Thursday, March 2, at 4:30 pm to celebrate National Pokemon Day.  Bring a friend, test your knowledge, and learn all about Pokémon with like-minded individuals in our community. Refreshments will be provided by Friends of the East Central Public Library.  To sign up, call 228-588-6263 before the event day.

    Spring Origami Bouquets with Miss Ella  

    HURLEY, MS __ Join us at the East Central Library after school on March 23rd at 4 pm for a relaxing origami craft. Miss Ella Harvard will present a workshop on how to make gorgeous tulips out of paper.

    These flowers make perfect spring decorations or the perfect gift for family and friends. This program is intended for ages 12 and up.

    Storytime with Community Heroes: Sherriff Friends  

    HURLEY, MS __ The East Central County Public Library will host story time on March 23, 10 am with Ms. Leah and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department for a special “Community Heroes” storytime. Come read  stories, sing songs, and learn about safety from our local  community heroes. Photo opportunities will be available  after story time with the sheriff’s deputies and their  vehicles.

       Painting Paws On Patrol  

    HURLEY, MS __ Bring your friends and family to the East Central Public Library on March 27, 4 pm to paint some of the most important pups! We will be hosting a K-9 painting event to honor these furry, four-legged veterans. Light refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the East Central Public Library. Materials will be provided for this program. Limited spots will be available, please call to sign up!

    St. Patrick’s Day Puzzle Competition 

    GAUTIER, MS __ Do you have the luck of the Irish? Bring your four-leaf clover to the Gautier Public Library on March 15, 5:30 pm, for the St Patrick’s Day Puzzle Competition! Challenge your skills with a 350-piece puzzle. Gather a team (2 to 4 people) and sign up. Will you be the team to solve the puzzle first and win the prize? For patrons 12 and older. Under 18 must be on a team with an adult.

    Meal and a Mystery 

    GAUTIER, MS __ Join us for our “Meal and a Mystery” event on March 30; dinner at 5:30 pm and mystery at 6:00 pm. Have fun solving the Last Prey Mystery Box by Deadbolt Mystery Society.     How to Catch a Leprechaun 

    LUCEDALE, MS __ The Lucedale-George County Public Library invites library patrons ages 12 and under to help build a leprechaun trap with us and learn a little about leprechaun lore, on March 16th @ 4 pm.  Parents must be present with any child under 10. Materials provided.  Bring your friends  

    Collage & Sip! 

    LUCEDALE, MS __ Break out the scissors and join us at the Lucedale-George County Public Library to sip and relax while you create a wonderful collage on March 20th at 5 pm.  This program is intended for ages 17 and up.     Youth Crochet Club 

    LUCEDALE, MS __ Join us every other Thursday at 3 pm beginning March 30th for the youth crochet club in the teen section. All skill levels are welcome! Intended for youth in 5th grade and older. Materials Provided by the Friends of the Library. Invite Your Friends!

    Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia with Liz Hoop 

    LUCEDALE, MS __ Join us at the Lucedale- George County Public Library on March 30th to learn the differences between Alzheimer’s and Dementia and treatments to address some symptoms.     OS Library Teen Sci-Café Presents: Behind the Camera & In Front of the Mic  

    OCEAN SPRINGS, MS __ The Ocean Springs Municipal Library’s Teen Sci-Café presents: Behind the Camera & In Front of the Mic, March 16th @ the Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Arts Center, Visual Arts – 2nd floor. Doors will open at 6:00 pm and the program will begin at 6:30 pm.  Jesse Hill, owner of Hilltree Marketing and Senior Engineer at 1600 Studios will share some of his videography, podcasting, and sound engineering expertise.

    Addams Family Bingo Night

    PASCAGOULA, MS __ Join the fun! 3rd Saturdays, 12-2 pm for  Join us for Visiting Pet Teams of South Mississippi! Read Stories to Pets! “Sit! Stay! Read!” To help improve their reading skills, children read one-on-one to licensed pet therapy dogs! Dogs enable kids to tackle the serious issue of childhood illiteracy in a fun way. Because pets accept people without conditions, children are free of the stress of judgments and expectations. Children must be accompanied by a parent, grandparent, or adult guardian.

    Beginner Crochet for Youth

Join us monthly for book recommendations and discussions focusing on the fantasy genre. This program is intended for those ages 17 and up.     Coding for Cookies 

    ST. MARTIN, MS __ Do you enjoy robotics, computers, and building? Join us on March 20, 3:30 -5:30  at the St. Martin Library for some “Cookies Coding” fun. Children are invited to enjoy various STEM activities where they will exercise their problem-solving skills through science, technology, engineering, and math.
