For four weeks, the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce-Main Street-Tourism Bureau developed a campaign encouraging the community to vote daily in the USA Today polls for the Best Small Town for Shopping and Best Small Town Cultural Scene.

Ocean Springs was up against national competition including New York, New Jersey, California, Ohio, North Carolina, Arkansas, Maine, Alabama, Minnesota, Michigan and others for the two categories.

By a popular vote, Ocean Springs won as the number one Best Small Town for Shopping and fifth for Best Small Town Cultural Scene. Rhinebeck, New York placed second for Best Small Town for Shopping.

This really does help visitors feel welcomed to town.”

Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce-Main Street-Tourism Bureau will be rolling out marketing materials including posters and banners to celebrate the wins for the city.
