    MGCCC Expands No-Cost, Tuition-Free, and Fee-Free Programs Through BP Restore Act Grant

    Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College is excited to announce the expansion of its no-cost, tuition-free, and fee-free programs for eligible participants, thanks to the BP Restore Act Grant provided through the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality and the Department of Treasury. These programs are designed to meet the high-demand, high-paying career needs of local industries in South Mississippi.

    “MGCCC is using these grant funds to reduce the cost for more than 25 credit programs, and we are so excited to offer training to individuals interested in one of these high-demand, high-paying careers in local industry,” said Casey Covacevich, Director of Innovative Administration. “This initiative will help equip our community with the skills and qualifications needed to thrive in today’s competitive job market.”

    Programs Offered:

    1. Gulf Coast Work Ready:

    • Programs: Cosmetology, Commercial Truck Driving, Heavy Equipment Operation, Maritime Multicraft Technology, Massage Therapy, and Unmanned Maritime Systems

    2. CSET Tech Fusion:

    • Programs: Coding Technology, Computer Networking Technology, Cybersecurity Technology, AI and Data Technology, IT Specialist Technology, Simulation & Game Design Technology, and Live Entertainment Technology

    3. Workforce Training – Meeting the Needs of the Supply Chain:

    • Programs: Commercial Truck Driving, Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technology, Automotive Technology, and Robotics and Automated Manufacturing

    These programs are crafted to align with the demands of local industries, ensuring that participants gain relevant skills that directly translate to job opportunities in South Mississippi. Whether you’re interested in technology, manufacturing, or other fields, MGCCC offers comprehensive training to help you succeed.
