If you’re looking for something festive yet unique this holiday season, check out “Lights of the Wild” at the Hattiesburg Zoo.

The Hattiesburg Zoo, known for its incredible community events, now features exotic lanterns that showcase diverse wildlife and plant life from all over the world!

“We have a wide range of animals,” said Demetric Kelly with guest services and retail. “We have giraffes, zebras, elephants, insects, flowers, and plants. It gives guests something new that they really won’t see around anywhere in Mississippi.”

The light display features more than 500 lanterns and light attractions, and the entire exhibit has been in the works for about three months now.

The Lights of the Wild exhibit will take place December 10–12 and 17–23 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tickets for the nights of December 10, 11, and 12 are offered at a discounted rate of $13 per person. Tickets for this special event at the Zoo from Dec. 17 through Dec. 23 will cost $18 per person. Children under the age of 2 are free.

Tickets can be purchased at the Hattiesburg Zoo’s website. When buying tickets, guests must choose a specific night for “Lights of the Wild.”

In addition to dazzling displays of lanterns highlighting life-sized animals, larger-than-life plants, and holiday décor, guests will also enjoy story-time with Mr. and Mrs. Claus! Also, thanks to technology, there’s a 100% chance that guests will see snow!

Delicious holiday treats are available at the “Peppermint Patio,” and unlimited carousel and train rides are included in admission.

Lights of the Wild is a one-of-a-kind experience for all ages to enjoy!
