The sunshine, the people, the music. Free Flowin’ Fest 2021 in Pascagoula was the place to be on the Mississippi Gulf Coast yesterday. All the bands delivered crowd-pleasing entertainment all day long.
Jim Rigby of Pascagoula was there with his artist wife, Ronda Rigby. “So far, it’s a real nice festival. I am seeing a lot of people that I grew up with that I don’t see every day. Good times out here, plenty to eat, drink, nice cool breeze. It’s wonderful.”
There were plenty of vendors offering local art and family fun for the children, including face painting for the kids.
Harry Thomas Stewart of Fishing for Trash, shared his enthusiasm for the event, “It’s a beautiful day in South Mississippi.” He was there to explain what his group does for the coast, cleaning up trash from the rivers. To learn more, volunteer, or donate go to Facebook Fishing for Trash.
The Tree-Oh Band with Hugh O’Neil on drums, Joe “JoJo” Morris on bass, Buddy Leach on sax, and lead singer Bob Erickson started the event. The music line-up included Marlow Brothers Trio, The Chitlins, and Red Stray Clays. Each band rocked the attentive family-filled crowd that joined the Free Flowin’ Fest 2021.
