GRAMMY Museum® Mississippi is pleased to announce it will
open its doors again to offer tours for guests aboard American Queen Steamboat Company’s authentic paddlewheelers, beginning in spring 2021. Tour stops to the Mississippi Museum are scheduled to begin this spring. Additional information is forthcoming.

“It is always exciting adding a new stop on the river for our guests to explore, and a 2021 season highlight will be our port debut at the new Terrene Landing dock and a visit to Cleveland, Mississippi,” said John Waggoner, Founder and CEO of American Queen Steamboat Company. “Home to the GRAMMY Museum, a simply stunning addition to the region, our guests will enjoy discovering this newly added treasure.”

“We are thrilled to welcome guests of American Queen Steamboat Company to our historical landmark museum in Cleveland,” said Emily Havens, Executive Director of GRAMMY Museum Mississippi. “We’re excited to share a little piece of Mississippi music history with cruise guests and want to acknowledge the American Queen Steamboat Company for their efforts in making it possible to safely bring in their guests for museum tours.”

Guests aboard the American Queen—the largest, most opulent riverboat in the world—get a unique perspective on America’s history, culture, and landscape as they cruise the Mississippi River. Operated by the American Queen Steamboat Company, the authentic paddlewheelers offer several itineraries to choose from of the lower or upper Mississippi River. Guests can choose from eight- to 16-day cruises that take them up and down the Mississippi River while stopping at historical landmarks along the way, like the GRAMMY Museum Mississippi. While touring the Museum, guests will learn about the impact Mississippi has had on American music through unique artifacts, video footage, and temporary and permanent exhibits. Temporary exhibits
currently on display at the Mississippi Museum include Stronger Together: The Power of Women in Country Music, Willie Mitchell & The Music of Royal Studios, and a special limited-time display celebrating the music of GRAMMY® winner Garth Brooks.
