Downtown Tupelo Is the Perfect Place for Last-Minute Christmas Shopping

It’s hard to believe, but Christmas is almost here. And for any fellow procrastinators out there, please be aware that there is less than a week of shopping time left.

What? Only a few shopping days remain to find that perfect gift?

    Wait! It’s still doable, right?

Right, except for one small problem. Don’t forget the droves of other last-minute shoppers making their equally desperate treks toward their favorite retailers.

It is truly a nightmare to try and navigate through the traffic and the hordes of harried holiday shoppers. But it must be done. So here we go!

Now, up here in the northeast corner of our beautiful state, the hopeful procrastinators are all rushing to Tupelo to shop in the big selection of stores located in the North Gloster area. This area truly can be a one-stop shopping experience.

I know this for certain because, alongside people from all over Mississippi and several surrounding states, I have done my fair (and enjoyable) share of shopping at some of the places in and near the Mall at Barnes Crossing.

But I still have a few names on my list requiring that elusive, “perfect” gift. Luckily, I know exactly where to go — Downtown Tupelo.

Lots of local people also know about the amazing shops located in the heart of the city, but others have never heard of some of these gems.

Downtown Tupelo offers shoppers a more relaxed experience. It’s also a truly hospitable, down-home visit, with merchants giving individual attention to their guests and individual attention to that troublesome need for a “perfect” gift or two.

Best of all, most of these stores are locally owned, so after one or two visits, everyone is family. The owners and salespeople speak to customers by name and quickly recognize and remember each customer’s likes and dislikes. So shopping is usually a breeze. And it’s fun and hassle-free.

Plus, Tupelo has lots of choices to offer Christmas shoppers! Some shops are well-known and long-beloved, like Reed’s.

Others are not so familiar, such as RAW Furniture Company. With handcrafted furniture, handmade home goods, and artwork of all kinds, this place will quickly become a year-round favorite.

And of course, every shopper needs a little sustenance, a reward for work well done (even if it was done at the very last minute).

Crave is the perfect Tupelo spot to relax and refuel for more shopping with a large variety of coffees, drinks, snacks, and desserts. Shoppers can find that “perfect” goodie to sit and enjoy.

    So, take heart!

There is still one week left to get those “perfect” Christmas gifts. Relax and take a deep breath.

    You’ve got this!

Just head straight to Downtown Tupelo for the “perfect” Christmas shopping experience.
