Howard Avenue in Biloxi is experiencing a renaissance like it hasn’t seen in years. Coffee shops, music venues (like Morgan Freeman’s Ground Zero Blues Club), restaurants, the baseball stadium, and even a liquor store that specializes in high-end and very rare bourbons are all recent additions.  But the newest arrival, Café 871 is something altogether different and much welcomed.

Café 871 is the inspiration of chef Broderek Mills, whose expertise is in creating classic New Orleans and creole foods, with a healthy portion of southern soul food too. Mills has years of experience as a chef but also supports social issues, like empowering local farmers and schools to promote food security and sustainability by influencing people to embrace healthy food and nutrition.

But don’t think this place is all about uninteresting salads and undercooked vegetables. The menu is brimming with classics like fried chicken, baked mac and cheese, shrimp creole, BBQ ribs, shrimp and grits, and a whole lot more. It is classic southern food but with a healthy twist.

You might also be surprised at the ambiance Mills has created, with a beautiful and eclectic designed living room vibe that is laid back and comfortable. The perfect setting for southern comfort food.

If you are planning a special event, Café 871 is the perfect setting with its exclusive menu, professional service, and cozy atmosphere. This place guarantees an unforgettable experience that will delight your guests.

If you are up for a night out with serious entertainment, no other place comes close to what Café 871 offers. Recent entertainment includes Latona Coleman, Nathan Best, T. Holloway, and Richard Dorsey. This is live music central for Biloxi!

Check out their Facebook page and comments like this: “Yes, I highly recommend Café 871 for an enjoyable dining experience. The staff here was very attentive, the food was delicious well presented, and freshly cooked. The entertainment is live with magnificent musicians and singers. Cafe 871, is definitely what’s needed for downtown Biloxi revitalization!”

Cafe 871 offers indoor dining, a hip atmosphere, great desserts, and a stylish interior. No matter what you are looking for, Biloxi’s newest hot spot will knock you ouy.
