Bicycling is a great way to bring people together for both some fun and a little bit of exercise, and there’s no better time to take a ride in Mississippi than during the fall.

Without a doubt, one of the best regions in Mississippi to take a bike ride is along the state’s coastline. Any time of day, you ride your bike while also watching the sun reflect off the beautiful Gulf of Mexico.

If you’re a morning person, the sun rising over the Gulf to start a brand new day is both gorgeous and inspiring. Afternoons are great, as well, to see the sun high in the sky as you cruise along the beach line, and what makes the coastline a great place for a bike ride is the wooden planked trail for bikers, walkers, and runners. It’s always a smooth ride and not to mention the cool breeze coming off the water.

Personally, I enjoy riding the coast at sunset. There’s nothing like watching pink, purple, and orange fill the sky as the sun dips down into the ocean. There’s also plenty of spots to put the kickstand down and really take in the sun going down.

Aside from the coastline, there are some other great locations to break out the bike and take in some nature. Take your pick of the plethora of trails throughout the area. Here are a few worth considering:

    • The Live Oaks Bicycle Route in Ocean Springs
    • Historic Pascagoula Bike Trail
    • Bethel South Trails in Saucier

One of the top bicycle treks is led by Coleman Concierge as Jen and Ed Coleman encourage everyone to hit the trails while taking in the natural beauty of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Click here to let the Colemans take you from the picturesque gulf views, to the quiet beauty of nestled beneath the mighty Oaks, along to the peace of uncrowded beaches. These tours take you along some of the most unique and quaint cities and regions that you will simply love, not to mention the delicious food, rich culture, and undiscovered jewels you’ll find along the way.

The biking guide of the Mississippi Gulf Coast highlights some of the most quaint and beautiful cities along the coast, including Ocean Springs, Biloxi, Bay St. Louis, and Pascagoula. The complete tours highlight almost 40 miles of riding. Even though all of the trails don’t traverse along the coastline, they ensure that “there’s enough for you to fill your camera roll.”

“It is our goal to inspire you to get out, expand your world, and to seek adventure, even in your own backyard,” the Colemans explained. “We deeply believe in the transformational power of travel. Our tagline is amazing adventures for ordinary people because we believe that you don’t have to be super rich, super fit, or super anything to have an amazing adventure. Expanding your comfort zone and trying new things will pay huge dividends in both health and happiness.”

Whether you want a little adventure in your Gulf Coast homeland or you’re coming into town for some fun, the Colemans can definitely lead you in the right direction for any kind of trip you’d like to plan. So, hit the biking trails and enjoy some new adventures along the Gulf Coast!
