    The Dave Matthews Band Will ‘Crash’ Into Mississippi in Late May

    The ever-popular Dave Matthews Band is hitting the road once more this year, and Mississippi will once again get a glimpse of the Grammy Award-winning group.

    The DMB will play the BankPlus Amphitheater at Snowden Grove in Southaven on Wednesday, May 24th it was announced recently. Tickets are already on sale for fan club members and will be available to the general public on February 17th at 10 a.m. local time at Ticketmaster.com.

    The appearance in North Mississippi will be just one stop on a cross-country trek that the ever-popular band will embark on in 2023.

    The band posted on its website the following message for its fans:

    “We are pleased to announce that Dave Matthews Band will kick off its U.S. tour at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, TX on May 19 after playing a trio of dates in Mexico. The headline run will include the band’s first show at the historic Forest Hills Stadium in New York on June 9. Dave Matthews Band will play two-night stands in Wilmington, NC; Charleston, SC; Noblesville, IN; Chicago, IL; Gilford, NH; Saratoga Springs, NY; Camden, NJ; West Palm Beach, FL and Irvine, CA. The tour will conclude with the band’s traditional three-day, Labor Day weekend celebration at Gorge Amphitheatre in George, WA.”

    In addition to the stop in Southaven, the DMB will also hit venues in neighboring states like The Wharf Amphitheater in Orange Beach, Ala., on Wednesday, July 26th and The Walmart Amphitheater in Rogers, Ark., on the night before the show in north Mississippi.

    The Dave Matthews Band will also perform at the Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest on February 10, at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, AZ. The DMB will perform a full set with an opening DJ set by DJ Pee Wee. A month later, the band will perform at the baseball-themed Innings Festival at Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium with other big-name headliners on March 18-19.

    In conjunction with the announcement of the upcoming tour, the Dave Matthews Band also announced they will release Walk Around The Moon – their 10th studio on May 19th. Most of the album’s 12 original songs were recorded with producer Rob Evans, including the first single, “Madman’s Eyes,” which was released last week.

    Founded in Charlottesville, Va., in the early 1990s, the DMB Is known for such mega-hits as “Crash into me”, Ants Marching”, “Tripping Billies” and “What Would You Say” among many others, and has sold more than 25 million tickets as well as a collective 38 million CDs and DVDs combined over that time frame.

    Dave Matthews’ ongoing partnership with The Nature Conservancy has resulted in three million trees being planted since 2020. This year’s continued partnership will bring the total to four million trees. Fans can join in this mission by adding an optional donation of $2 per ticket to plant a tree with The Nature Conservancy’s Plant a Billion Trees campaign – a major forest restoration effort with the goal of planting a billion trees around the world by 2025.
