16th Annual Gala for Kids Set for June 3

Standing firmly behind their motto of “Caring Hearts. Helping Hands. Changing Lives.,” the Junior Auxiliary of Biloxi-Ocean Springs (JABOS) has worked throughout the years to touch the lives of young people and help whenever and wherever they can.

This non-profit charitable organization aims to meet the physical, medical, emotional, and educational needs in the world today with hopes to make a “difference in their lives for tomorrow and years to come.” They accomplish those goals through community service projects in the health, civic, welfare, educational and cultural fields while working in a united force with the schools and other organizations in the community.

Over 25,000 children and their families in Biloxi, D’Iberville, Ocean Springs, St. Martin, Vancleave, and surrounding areas on the Mississippi Gulf Coast received assistance, service, and aid from JABOS. This very important facet of the community has approximately 85 active members and provisional members who have volunteered over 3,500 hours of “hands-on service” with local children and families throughout their 10 service projects.

That goodwill of mankind and support of one another will be celebrated at the 16th Annual Gala for Kids, set to be held Friday, June 3 at the IP Casino Resort Spa in Studio B from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. The Gala for the Kids is the primary and largest fundraiser for the group every year. Benefits from the gala allow these good people to make a huge difference in the lives of these young people so that they may continue to perform service projects and make a difference in their corner of the world. But that could not be accomplished without the support of the community through this gala.

The gala allows the JABOS to raise funds that are needed to continue to carry out service projects for the coming year. These projects are so important because they have helped so many lives and families and teach young people how important community service is to being an active supportive member of the community. None of this work could be done without the help of the community. The gala allows JABOS to raise funds that are needed to carry out all of their service projects for the next year. The success of the gala is crucial to “flawless execution of our service projects.” As more funds are raised, more children and youth can be served, creating an even larger impact on the Gulf Coast and its youth. It will help them to have the strength and confidence to follow their dreams of the future.

This year’s gala theme will be “Big Things Often Have Small Beginnings” which is a very powerful statement which JABOS stands behind.  At the gala, there will be live entertainment, a silent auction, split the pot, delicious food, and a cash bar.

If you would like to aid in this incredible foundation and the youth of the Gulf Coast, any investment or opportunity is greatly appreciated. To do your part in helping JABOS and the lives they impact, there are several ways in which you can help, such as purchasing tickets to the Gala, purchasing an online silent auction ticket, purchasing Split the Pot tickets, making a donation to JABOS, purchasing a sponsorship, or donating a silent auction item.

All purchases may be made online at the official Junior Auxiliary of Biloxi-Ocean Springs website at www.jabos2022.givesmart.com or by contacting any JABOS member. All help and support is always greatly appreciated. Help the future of tomorrow by helping JABOS and the children and families they impact.
