The city’s Fiscal Year numbers are in, and Biloxi casinos, with $100 million months in April and July, have posted a record-breaking year, with $1.02 billion in gross gaming revenue.
Gross-gaming revenue is the amount of money that casinos pay taxes on.
Biloxi’s eight casinos generated $1.02 billion in FY 2021, which runs from Oct. 1, 2020, to Sept. 30, 2021. It was the largest figure in the 29-year history of legalized gaming in Biloxi. The previous record was $1.006 billion in FY 2007.
The highlight of the FY 2021 was April when the city reported a record-shattering gross gaming revenue figure of $111.2 million for one month.

Gross gaming revenue: $1.02 billion
Total gaming taxes: $123.9 million
Where the money goes:
State of Mississippi: $81.6 million.
City of Biloxi: $22.9 million
County of Harrison: $9.52 million
Biloxi Public Schools: $6.53 million
County schools: $3.26 million
