Live animals, Mary and Joseph, Angels, Wisemen, and Shepards! What a way to announce the Christmas Story Live Nativity will start tonight at First United Methodist Church in Pascagoula. This will be the fourth year that FUMC Pascagoula has held this beautiful display of the Christmas Story. Each year hundreds of spectators visit this drive through Nativity that is put on by our church’s youth group. There are sometimes even lil’ Angels from the children’s ministry displayed in the Nativity scene.

The church’s youth group say that each year as cars drive past, there is something about the silence of the scene and sound of the animals that gives them a special sense of that “Christmas Spirit.”

The animals are brought in by Angie Hales, from Angie Hales Pony Tales out of Meridian. If you have ever seen an Alpaca at another event, it was more than likely hers! Angie’s animals have been seen all over Jackson County not just at the Live Nativity, but also the RCS Spring Fling, and most recently at the Gautier Mullet Festival. We are so pleased that she is back for our fourth year.

We at FUMC Pascagoula want to welcome everyone to come out and see this awesome display of the Christmas Story. The Live Nativity will start today and go through Thursday, 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm. Angie Hales will have the animals in a pin during the day for petting and viewing. Bring the kids out, they will love it!

The Live Nativity will be located:

    2710 Pascagoula Street, Pascagoula, MS

Cars will enter from DuPont Street (back of the church), grab some hot chocolate and enjoy Christmas Lights and luminaries as they drive up to the Nativity scene. The youth gratefully accept donations at the end. All donations go toward their summer ministry trip.
