    History has been made.
The Pascagoula Youth Baseball 6U All-Star Team captured the 2026 Diamond Youth Baseball (DYB) 6U World Series Championship, bringing one of youth baseball’s most prestigious titles back to Pascagoula for the first time in 55 years. The championship marks the city’s first Diamond Youth Baseball World Series title since 1971, ending more than five decades of waiting and adding another unforgettable chapter to Pascagoula’s rich baseball tradition.
The championship represents far more than a trophy. It is the culmination of countless hours of dedication by young athletes, coaches, parents, volunteers, and a community that has long embraced baseball as part of its identity.
“This championship belongs to our entire community,” said Joseph Powell, President of Pascagoula Youth Baseball. “For the first time since 1971, a Diamond Youth Baseball World Series Championship is coming home to Pascagoula. These young men played with incredible heart, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament, and they have made our city proud.”
The 6U All-Stars battled through the nation’s best teams, demonstrating resilience, teamwork, and a love for the game well beyond their years. Their championship run reflects the strength of Pascagoula Youth Baseball’s commitment to developing young athletes while emphasizing character, discipline, and sportsmanship.
The victory also continues Pascagoula’s recent tradition of excellence in youth baseball, further establishing the program as one of Mississippi’s premier organizations.
Pascagoula Youth Baseball extends its sincere appreciation to the players, coaches, parents, volunteers, sponsors, the City of Pascagoula, and the countless fans who supported the team throughout its World Series journey.
As the team returns home with the championship trophy, the accomplishment serves as a reminder that while championships are earned on the field, they are built by an entire community standing behind its young athletes.
The Diamond Youth Baseball World Series Championship is finally coming home—to Pascagoula.
