PASCAGOULA, Miss. – From a new Audio & Video Lab and free Kanopy streaming to pop-up library experiences at the Levitt AMP Moss Point Music Series, the Jackson-George Regional Library System (JGRLS) is inviting residents to explore a full month of creativity, technology, entertainment, and community connection this August.
Libraries across Jackson and George counties will offer robotics, 3D printing, book clubs, financial literacy, arts, wellness, Storytimes, genealogy resources, and hands-on programs for all ages. These opportunities reflect JGRLS’s continuing commitment to equitable access, lifelong learning, and meaningful community experiences.
Spotlight: New Audio & Video Lab at Pascagoula Public Library
At the center of this month’s offerings is the new Audio & Video Lab at the Pascagoula Public Library. The space gives residents access to professional-quality technology for recording podcasts, creating videos, preserving family and local histories, producing digital presentations, and building multimedia skills.

August Featured E-Resource: Kanopy
JGRLS is also highlighting Kanopy as its August E-Resource of the Month. With a valid JGRLS library card, patrons can stream thousands of award-winning films, documentaries, educational videos, independent movies, and family-friendly programming at no cost.

Levitt AMP Moss Point Music Series and Pop-Up Library
The Ina Thompson Moss Point Library will bring a Pop-Up Library Experience to each Levitt AMP Moss Point Music Series concert at Riverfront Park. The free outdoor series is presented by the Maddox Foundation and organized by the Walter Anderson Museum of Art in partnership with Moss Point Main Street and the City of Moss Point.
At the Pop-Up Library, families can enjoy children’s books, literacy and STEAM activities, crafts, library card registration, information about free digital resources, giveaways, and the interactive “Tell Your Story, Moss Point” community storytelling experience.

Concerts are free and open to the public and are held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Families are encouraged to arrive early to explore the Pop-Up Library, participate in children’s activities, visit local vendors, and share their stories.

• Ina Thompson Moss Point Library – wellness classes, crafts, book clubs, mystery programs, Storytimes, health education, and Levitt AMP Pop-Up Library activities.
• St. Martin Public Library – financial literacy with Keesler Federal Credit Union, 3D printing, youth STEM, creative arts, and family programming.
• Vancleave Public Library – STEM Robotics, Open Studio Tuesdays, sewing, quilting, LEGO Club, book clubs, and artistic workshops.
• Kathleen McIlwain Public Library in Gautier, East Central Public Library in Hurley, Lucedale-George County Public Library, and the Singing River Genealogy & Local History Library – Storytimes, educational programs, technology assistance, genealogy resources, book clubs, and community events.
