All aboard! The Canadian Pacific 2023 Holiday Train is coming to town this holiday season from November 20, 2023 through December 19, 2023. Excitingly, it is scheduled to make three stops right here in The Magnolia state. The stops are:

    • Pearl (Jackson): 11/25/2023 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM @ CPKC yard – 201 Industrial Park Drive
    • Meridian, MS: 11/26/2024 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM @ Union Station – 1901 Front Street
    • Vicksburg, MS: 11/27/2023 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM @ Levee Street Station – 1000 Levee Street at Grove Street

Make sure you bundle up and bring your family for a night of fun, music, and entertainment. No matter what part of the state you’re in, you’ll be able to attend this amazing event if you’d like! This is the 25th anniversary of the train’s tour. What exactly is this tour about? Keep reading to find out.

    Canadian Pacific Holiday Train

Also called the “Canadian Pacific Holiday Express”, the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train tours both Canada and the United States. Its first tour was in 1999. This phenomenal tour raises awareness for the selfless and ongoing work that goes into food banks in communities all over the USA and Canada. Talented musicians play their music during the tour, as well, which makes for a great experience!

In addition to this, what makes this train so special is that it has raised over $22.5 million dollars and donated more than five million pounds of food to community food banks throughout North America.

This is so important because during the holiday season and throughout the year, many people suffer from hunger, food insecurity, and loneliness. The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train brings awareness to these issues in a fun, engaging, and upbeat way. They make donations at each stop, and the best part is that you can donate food, as well! You can go to your local grocery store and grab some non-perishables to donate to those in need this holiday season.

Celebrating the Holiday Season in Mississippi

Remember, the train is set to tour November 20, 2023 through December 19, 2023. Thankfully, we have three days in three different locations to witness this in Mississippi. This tour not only serves as entertainment but as a way for us to learn what truly goes into helping our neighbors, and it gives us the unique opportunity to participate in giving back. What a beautiful way to remember the reason for the holiday season! If you want to learn more about this holiday train, make sure to visit their website here for more information!
