The Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce-Main Street-Tourism Bureau is gearing up for the 26th Annual Spring Arts Festival: Herb, Garden & Art, and vendor applications are being accepted through early February.

The event, presented in partnership with the Ocean Springs Art Association and Ocean Springs Fresh Market, will be held March 23 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and March 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Ocean Springs.

“This festival celebrates the spring time and the colorful aspects of our community,” said Cynthia Sutton, Executive Director of the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce-Main Street-Tourism Bureau.

Formally known as the Herb & Garden Festival for many years, the festival brings in 15,000 to 30,000 visitors every year. Nearly 150 artists, crafters and plant growers will set up tents downtown for a day of fun, shopping, and learning.  Painters, potters, jewelry vendors and plant growers will sell their goods, Sutton said, and the event will also feature live music, artist demonstrations and educational lectures on plants and healthy living.

“The event is set up in the downtown area surrounded by numerous local restaurants and nightlife venues,” Sutton said. “There will also be a small food court area near Miner’s Toy Store.”

Vendor applications are available at www.oceanspringschamber.com/springartsfestival.

“With thousands of attendees in a town known for its festivals, it’s a huge benefit to be a part of this event,” Sutton said. Volunteer opportunities are also available through the Ocean Springs Chamber offices. “It takes a team to execute an event such as this festival, so we are in need of volunteers to help us pull it off,” she said.
