    Hattiesburg is getting an early start to celebrating Oktoberfest as they will be hosting the SoProst Oktoberfest September 17, 2022. No matter your roots,German, Munich, Bavarian or Southern Mississippi roots–you’re sure to have a great time in downtown Hattiesburg.

    SoPro, known for creating distinctive and excellent craft beers for the Southeast to call its own, is helping to kick off the festivities with a new festbier and a new pilsner on the slow pour taps. There will be delicious traditional foods, music, games, and so much more.  Expect “new, delicious beers, Hattiesburg is getting an early start to celebrating Oktoberfest as they will be hosting the SoProst Oktoberfest September 17, 2022. Southern Prohibitioncompetitions, and all day fun.” Oktoberfest is one of the most anticipated and popular events that residents of the Hub City and visitors look forward to each year.

    This year, Southern Prohibition will be revealing two new Oktoberfest-theme beers:  Trinkparty, a Kolsch-style beer, and a festbier; you’ll definitely have to try these new offerings. While the adults are enjoying some unique and interesting libations, there will be plenty of games for the kids and the adults as well. There is surely something at the festival that the whole family will enjoy.

    If you haven’t seen the new renovations to Southern Prohibition, then you’ll want to go and view the  beautiful additions to this always fun locale. There have been expansions, additions, and several renovations that you’ll want to check out.

    Opened in 2013, Southern Prohibition has been a popular attraction for nearly a decade, and offer an exceptional opportunity to see how a functioning brewery actually works.

    One event that you definitely don’t want to miss is the stein-holding competition which will begin at 4 pm. There’s sure to be lots of entertainment at this exciting event.

    Also, be on the look-out for Oktoberfest “merch” bundles, if you’re looking for a memento to take home to remember the event. Come in your Olde World costume or just as you are, you’re officially invited to Hattieburg’s Oktoberfest!

    The festival will begin at 11 am and wind down at 10 pm. Southern Prohibition is located at 301 Mobile Street in downtown Hattiesburg. Everyone is invited to come and craft their own adventure at the SoPro Oktoberfest 2022.
