Pascagoula’s “Hub of Beauty” – The Company Salon

The stylists at The Company Salon & Spa, located in Pascagoula, have more than 300 years of combined experience in the styling field. Their location, that brought two salons together years ago, is the hub of beauty in the area and makes everyone who enters – stylists and clients alike – feel like family.

The Company Salon & Spa is home to 14 hairdressers, three nail techs and four receptionists. Combining the stylists together, they have 300+ years of styling experience and the nail techs have almost 100 years of experience with nails, according to Bridgitte Ware, a hairdresser.

“With so many hairdressers and different areas of expertise, our salon offers a lot of versatility,” she said.

Several of the stylists have owned their own salons in Pascagoula previously and one of the stylists even did hair in Germany while her husband was overseas with the military. The individual experience ranges from five years to 50 with many now seeing multiple generations of clients.

“It’s neat to hear all the stories,” Ware said. “Quite a bit of history within our shop.”

According to Debbie Frederic, a hairdresser at The Company, two salons – Shear Southern Style and Lesa Dees & Company – came together six years ago in March to form The Company, and they have since become the flagship Pascagoula salon because “we’ve all been doing hair forever and ever.” She said they are all well known in town, and they are all good at what they do.

“I think what makes it really different is that all of the stylists that are here are actually like family,” said Holly Hall, stylist, and owner of The Company, adding that the salon has a small-town feel and that it feels like home. She said they know their clients and each other’s clients this creates a personal feel rather than just trying to get clients in and out quickly.

Frederic and Ware agreed that the atmosphere at The Company feels like a family.

“When you’re born and raised here as I have been, you know their story,” Frederic said. “And we love them.” The salon is also a great place to catch up on the latest news around town as the stylists “know everybody, everything, and all of the above,” she said.

But, what it really comes down to is the overall beauty experience.

“At the end of the day, we hope that each person that walks through our door feels better when they leave,” Ware said. “Hopefully, we can bring out their inner beauty as well as giving them the confidence to face the world! We love Pascagoula and our surrounding communities, and they are why we are here.”
