The holiday season in Jackson has begun with the start of Mistletoe Marketplace 2024. Presented by the Junior League of Jackson, this nonprofit organization of women aims to promote women’s leadership for positive community impact. The JLJ are committed to supporting services and opportunities for children and youth, promoting voluntarism, preserving the environment, supporting the Arts, strengthening families, and improving neighborhood quality. They are also members of the Association of Junior Leagues International. Their annual Mistletoe Marketplace has been a favorite of locals and visitors for 43 years.

Every ticket purchase is a direct contribution to a child or family in need. A special event ticket feeds a local child for a week, while two general admission tickets provide a learning kit for children and families to work on reading skills at home. Interested in a T-shirt? One t-shirt sale provides two summer reading books to an elementary school student, and a raffle ticket fills a backpack of school supplies for an elementary-aged student. Your participation is crucial and makes a significant difference.

Mistletoe Marketplace, a beloved tradition in Jackson, officially kicked off this week on November 6th. This year’s theme is “All is Bright,” inspired by Christmas in New York City. The event started with the Mistletoe Gala and opened to the public with Breakfast at Mistletoe. It’s a tradition that brings the community together and creates lasting memories.

    Happy shoppers.

Since the first Mistletoe Marketplace in 1981, it has become the South’s premier holiday shopping affair, featuring spectacular special events. With its unique blend of local charm and international inspiration, it’s a magical, festive experience like no other!

President of Junior League Jackson, Amanda Green, shared that the marketplace offers a wide range of products, from handmade items to clothing, gifts, bath products, and even food items. Some attendees return yearly and have made Mistletoe Marketplace an annual holiday tradition. With beautiful decorations and a festive atmosphere, the Mistletoe Marketplace is a one-stop shopping experience for a good cause, promising something for everyone.

Don’t miss out on this unique holiday experience! Purchase your tickets online or at the door, with special event tickets available only online. The marketplace began on November 6th and will run until November 9th.
