Although Valentine’s Day has traditionally been considered a special day for lovers, the day before it, February 13, has become a day to celebrate the love and friendship you have for the extraordinary ladies in your life—Galentine’s Day.

You know your friend at work who listens to your problems or your bestie who always has your back no matter what? Celebrate and show appreciation for your gal pals and celebrate them!

Galentine’s Day is the perfect day for ladies to celebrate their friendships and bonds while having a good time. Popular ways to celebrate the day is to have a girls’ night in as you binge-watch a rom-com with popcorn, snacks, brunch, or a special dinner with your BFFs. Or, get dressed up in your best dress and heels and head out with your gal pals for some dining, dancing, and fun out on the town.

Give your favorite ladies in your life a special treat to show them how much their friendship and support mean to you. Shower your gal pals with cards, candy, and gifts to tell them how much they mean to you. As if you needed a day to celebrate female friendship, this is still a great excuse to get together, talk, and enjoy each other’s company.

Other popular ways to celebrate Galentine’s Day are to gather with your girls and try your hand at some axe throwing or have a night filled with fun, competition, bowling, or whatever activities you like to participate in together.

Gather the girls for a getaway trip to your favorite location. Girls’ Trips are always a fun idea, and Mississippi is full of several towns that are ideal girl’s trip getaways. Plan a trip to the spa to relax and enjoy each other’s company. Have some fun in a cooking class, whether at a restaurant hosting an event or at your own home. Have a Bake-Off with your girls, make it a fondue night, or express yourself with a painting, pottery, or crafting class. Catch a local band or have a trivia night at home. Go ice skating, hiking, biking, antiquing, or whatever activity you and your female friends enjoy. There are no rules or regulations on celebrating Galentine’s Day—just as long as you get together with friends and have a great time.

This day is just for your gal pals! Galentine’s Day is a time to celebrate the women in your life—mothers, grandmothers, sisters, friends, and besties. It’s a time for the girls to have some fun and show their appreciation and love for the friendship and support of their female friends and family.
