(Ocean Springs, MS) – The organizers of the Blue Moon Art Project contest are calling for Mississippi artists aged 21 or older to create a fun and contemporary canvas for a chance to win $2000 and be the feature of everything blue moon in the following year’s Peter Anderson Arts & Crafts Festival.

An artist residing in Mississippi may submit a painted art piece on a museum-quality canvas size 24” (height) x 36” (width). Artists are encouraged to create a design that inspires the crafty essence of blue moon and the vibe of how the brand makes customers feel.

Artists may download this year’s application by visiting www.peterandersonfestival.com and by clicking on the “Blue Moon” logo on the home page. Applications are to be turned in with a painted canvas by October 14 by 3 p.m. to the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce offices located at 1000 Washington Avenue. A committee will review each application looking for specific details including but not limited to the size of the canvas, the design to be that of a contemporary yet abstract design, and imagery. Beer bottles are not included in the painting and no words are to be added to the front of the artwork. The size of the painted canvas will be strictly enforced. This is a new design and look for the contest. Reviewing past year submissions, may not fit this year’s criteria.

One winner will be chosen as the Blue Moon Art Project winner receiving $2,000 and will be the feature work for all things Blue Moon in the coming year’s Peter Anderson Arts & Crafts Festival. Spectators to the Peter Anderson Arts & Crafts Festival will pick the “People’s Choice Award” winner during the two-day festival. That winner will receive a $500 cash prize.

This year’s project is brought by Blue Moon Brewing Company, F.E.B. Distributing Company, and the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce-Main Street-Tourism Bureau. The Peter Anderson Arts & Crafts Festival presented by Blue Moon will be hosted on November 5 & 6, 2022 in downtown Ocean Springs. The Peter Anderson Festival Is a trademarked event.

For more information on the Blue Moon Art Project, contact the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce – Main Street – Tourism Bureau at 228–875-4424 or visit www.peterandersonfestival.com.
