For the past 25 Octobers, Coastal Mississippi has turned back the clocks and transformed into “America’s Largest Block Party,” hosting thousands of antique, classic and hot rod vehicles for Cruisin’ the Coast. A record 8,028 vehicles have pre-registered for this year, attracting thousands of auto enthusiasts and visitors from across the country for the weeklong coast-wide event October 3-10. Cruisers need not look any further than Beau Rivage Resort & Casino for a week of classic fun and nostalgic music.

Since its inception in 1996, Cruisin’ the Coast has grown into the largest special event in the state of Mississippi and one of the top tourism draws to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Readers of USA Today have voted Cruisin’ the Coast the Best Car Show Competition in the U.S. three out of the last four years.

“Beau Rivage has been a proud sponsor of Cruisin’ the Coast since we opened our doors, and it is a week that our team looks forward to every year,” said MGM Southeast Group President and COO Travis Lunn. “The cruisers and their vehicles create a great energy at the resort, and we enjoy hosting events that make their coastal visit that much more memorable. We’re pleased to host the ‘official’ Cruisin’ the Coast Sock Hop on Wednesday with Louis Prima, Jr. and welcome The Beach Boys back to Beau Rivage Theatre for shows on Thursday and Friday.”

To commemorate the event’s 25th year, Beau Rivage will offer a one-time edition Cruisin’ the Coast $25 gaming chip featuring the Cruisin’ the Coast 25th Anniversary logo. Chips may be purchased throughout the week at the cashier cage, located near the High Limit room on the back of the casino floor.

Beau Rivage guests earning 200 Slot Points between Wednesday, Oct. 6 and Saturday, Oct. 9, can take home a limited-edition Cruisin’ the Coast 25th Anniversary collapsible party cooler. Players can print vouchers at any M life Rewards kiosk and redeem from 2 – 8 p.m. each day at the Events Desk, located in the non-smoking area.

Throughout Cruisin’ week, BetMGM Book Bar & Grill will offer $5 off its refreshing line of signature adult milkshakes – including the Strawberry Short Shake, Mexican Shake, Mudslide Shake and Bourbon Shake.

On Wednesday, Oct. 6, cruisers are invited to the Cruisin’ the Coast Sock Hop featuring Louis Prima Jr. and The Witnesses. Born into an undeniable musical legacy, Louis Prima Jr. picks up the torch lit by his iconic father and leads his incarnation of The Witnesses headfirst into the future. Their seamless blend of hard driving big band jazz, insanely danceable swing and, at its core, real rock and roll has been wowing crowds worldwide for more than a decade. Doors open at 6 p.m., with Terry Mason’s Hot Rod Show, a classic radio show-style set featuring hits from the 50s, 60s, and 70s, before Louis Prima Jr. and The Witnesses take the stage at 7 p.m. From 6 – 8 p.m., guests are invited to a Meet & Greet and Autograph Session with Courtney Hansen, Executive Producer and Host of Ride of Your Life and seen on Overhaulin’, PowerBlock, NASCAR, Barrett-Jackson and The Ride that Got Away; and Cristy Lee, Host of Celebrity IOU: Joyride on Discovery + and seen on Garage Squad, Barrett-Jackson LIVE and All Girls Garage. During the show, several drink specials will be offered in Beau Rivage Theatre, including $7 Classic Margaritas and Tito’s Lemonade. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased by calling 888.566.7469 or by visiting the Beau Rivage Box Office the day before the show from 12 – 6 p.m. or day of show from noon until one hour prior to showtime.

The stage at EIGHT75 will feature Beau Rivage’s own Dian Diaz performing the classics and currents hits from 8 p.m. – 1 a.m. Oct. 6 and 7, and from 9 p.m. – 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 8 and 9.

The week-long celebration of classic cars will culminate with two concerts by the legendary The Beach Boys on Thursday and Friday nights at 8 p.m. in the Beau Rivage Theatre.  Tickets to The Beach Boys concert are $44.95, $54.95, $64.95 & $84.95 + tax & service charge and can be purchased by calling the Beau Rivage Theatre Box Office at 888.566.7469 or online at beaurivage.com.

In addition, Beau Rivage will offer designated cruiser parking on the second floor of the parking garage for hotel guests as well as an offsite location to store travel trailers for interested guests.

More information about these events can be found at www.beaurivage.com. A full schedule of all Cruisin’ the Coast events can be found at www.cruisinthecoast.com.
