HATTIESBURG — Pearl River Valley Opportunity will host the Launch Your Future Expo on July 7 at the Jackie Dole Center, bringing together employers, colleges and community organizations to connect attendees with career, education and workforce resources.
The expo is designed to serve as a one-stop source for community members seeking employment, educational opportunities and other support services.
The expo will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and feature a job fair, workforce program signups, guest speakers, prize giveaways and local vendors.
“We felt like this would be a good time and opportunity to bring together community members … and just connect those with valuable resources within the community,” said Keshia Clark, workforce manager.
Pearl River Valley Opportunity serves residents in the following counties: Covington, Forrest, Greene, Hancock, Jefferson Davis, Jones, Lamar, Marion, Pearl River and Stone.
“We are a new program recently implemented with PRVO, so this is something that we plan on doing annually to be able to gather people together,” Clark said.
