On September 23, 2010 local women business owners came together to create a group designed to support women business owners and entrepreneurs in the Pine Belt and surrounding areas. Through educational meetings and networking events, the Women Business Owners of the Pine Belt (WBOPB) provides opportunities for personal, professional and business development, aiming to uplift and empower women business owners so they can thrive, therefore positively impacting their businesses and communities.

“It’s an unselfish tribe of women who are all about collaboration, resilience and empowerment! Our mission to empower ourselves is fulfilled through helping each other” said Elizabeth Corley, WBOPB president.

The WBOPB provides access to a community of fellow women business owners, opportunities to attend monthly educational meetings and socials, professional and personal development and more. The membership represents a diverse group of women and businesses, and includes solopreneurs as well as those operating larger companies. For a complete list of members visit www.wbopb.com.

“This organization has meant so much to so many. For 14 years it has provided a network for women business owners to share ideas, learn together, mentor each other, do business together, and also make lifelong friends,” said Jennifer Clark, one of the founding members of WBOPB.

This organization is excited about a full list of events to finish out 2024, including monthly meetings with guest speakers, monthly after hour socials, and the always anticipated WBOPB Annual Event taking place in December. A full list of events can be found at www.wbopb.com/events.
