HATTIESBURG — The Center at Forrest County is partnering with North American Midway Entertainment to bring “The Great Forrest County Fair” back for the second consecutive year April 17-25 in Hattiesburg.
This is the second year of the revamped fair after organizers switched partnerships to North American Midway Entertainment, the largest amusement ride supplier in North America. Mississippi’s state fair in Jackson also partners with the company, according to WDAM.
This year’s event will feature the debut of a new 90-foot Ferris wheel, a bigger and taller attraction than any ride available in 2025. North American Midway Entertainment promotes the attraction as “…the best photo spot” at the fair.
The fair will also include Show-Me Swine Pig Races and the AG-UP Tractor Show. The tractor show will include tractors ranging from “…antique classics to modern machines,” according to the Forrest County Center, and organizers are still taking registrations.
Gates will open for the event at 5 p.m. on weekdays and 2 p.m. on weekends. The fair will be closed Monday, April 20.
Cash and card payments will be accepted at the fair, with tickets costing $6 if bought in person, $5 if bought online and $4 for college students, school employees and first responders.
Those interested in attending can purchase tickets on Purplepass and ride wristbands for $27 through North American Midway Entertainment.
