Pascagoula Public Library to Soft Reopen August 18th After Extensive Renovation
PASCAGOULA, MS — The Jackson-George Regional Library System is excited to welcome the community back to the Pascagoula Public Library on Monday, August 18, 2025, following a $4.2 million renovation funded by the City of Pascagoula and Jackson County.
This 14-month project included major upgrades such as a new roof, HVAC system, elevator improvements, remodeled restrooms, new flooring, and interior finishes. Designed by Allred Stolarski Architects and managed by DNP, Inc., the renovation also brings back the Singing River Genealogy & Local History Library and the Law Library.
During the soft reopening, some services may be limited as staff finalize the transition, but there’s plenty to explore! Guests will be delighted to discover a brand-new Children’s Library and a high-tech Audio Video Lab designed for creativity and content creation.

Puzzle Competition
OCEAN SPRINGS, MS __ There is a puzzle competition at the Ocean Springs Municipal Library located at 525 Dewey Ave on the first Saturday of the month at 10:00 am. There’s no need to pay for admission. Patrons will be divided into four groups and given a specific amount of time to complete a jigsaw puzzle. The first team to finish wins the “Golden Innie” trophy made by our 3D printer.
