Biloxi Main Street has been the driving force behind the revitalization of Biloxi in 2024,

creating the perfect environment for residents and small businesses downtown. Main

Street’s mission is to be the catalyst in promoting, preserving, revitalizing, and

enhancing the economic growth of the downtown Biloxi area.

Main Street has added several amenities to the area, with plans for more following the

    receipt of several grants.

The amenities include an 18-hole disc golf course and a DIY skate park in the How Hop

Creative District under the I-110, as well as new fish-shaped bike racks along Howard

Avenue. In addition to these completed projects, work will soon begin on several new

murals, and the alleyway along GE OHR Street will undergo a makeover.

Funding has been flowing in and will lead to even bigger projects later in 2024. Main

Street received grants from the Gulf Coast Community Foundation, the Mississippi Main

Street Revitalization Grant, and ARPA, totaling just under $700,000. These funds will be

used to bring more art and much-needed lighting to the How Hop Creative District.

Kay Miller – Main Street Biloxi Executive Director stated, “You can feel the energy and

excitement in Downtown Biloxi! There is activity everywhere, and people want to be

here! That is what Main Street’s mission is, to create a PLACE where people will keep

    coming back!”

If you would like to become a Biloxi Main Street partner and help the organization

continue its efforts to build downtown, please visit mainsteetbiloxi.com and click the
