On Thursday, April 6 at 7 p.m., you are cordially invited to the most magical ball of all time as the World Ballet Series brings its extraordinary performance of “Cinderella” to Hattiesburg’s Saenger Theater.

This very familiar tale of the kind-hearted Cinderella who forever remained sweet and loving despite the horrible life she was met with living with her two evil stepsisters and very evil stepmother will be retold in exquisite fashion by the extremely talented World Ballet Series Production Company. In beautiful fashion, these accomplished dancers and staff will bring to life how goodness and a kind heart are always rewarded, and in this beloved tale, she won the heart of Prince Charming and became a much-loved and adored princess to last through the ages.

“This enchanting, well-loved story is brought to such vivid life by our extremely talented cast of 40 professional dancers who have come to us from a multitude of nations around the world,” Gulya Hartwick, producer for the World Ballet Series, said. “Set to the exquisitely beautiful and passionate score by Sergie Prokoflev, our talented dancers will bring this very celebrated fairy tale to life.”

A story that has been told throughout the generations with over 1,500 versions, the tale honors ballet traditions and eternal values that are treasured by all. The production is brought to life in stunning vision with over 150 hand-sewn costumes created in beautiful and delicate fashion, hand-crafted sets brought to life with rich detail, and the sparkling and impassioned choreography by Marina Kesler.

The talented Kesler brings the entire production together for an unforgettable performance. Kesler, a heralded Estonian choreographer, is well known for her skillful use of choreographic language and cinematic effects in classical ballet productions.
