If you visit the Mississippi Gulf Coast by RV, you can count on plenty of camping locations to choose from. With each spot having its own charm and special attractions, here is a list of the top five camping locations on the Coast.

1. Majestic Oaks RV Resort (Biloxi)

Majestic Oaks RV Resort in Biloxi has been chosen by many as the “Best RV Park in Biloxi.” There is plenty that makes Majestic Oaks special. The finely landscaped grounds with sprawling historical oaks offer more than shade with its natural tranquility. If you’re looking to get out on the town during your stay, Majestic Oaks is a short ride to major casinos and bars. It’s also a short ride to the beach. The management team prides itself on quality hospitality and often caters to special events on the property for all guests. There is speedy Wi-Fi, free coffee, a well-maintained laundry area and propane station. There is so much, but the sparkling pool and fun club house all will make you want to extend your stay. And if you’re looking to come down for Cruisin’ the Coast, Majestic Oaks offers additional lots at the beach.

2. Sioux Bayou Landing RV Park (Gautier)

Sioux Bayou Landing RV Park in Gautier, with the leadership of new owners, has made recent additions to the property, including the larger deck wrapping the waters edge, a band area for great music and coming-soon cabin rentals. This getaway gem provides the perfect location to view the bayou wildlife. Daily, you’ll be able to see geese, ducks and pelicans splashing across the open water. The well-maintained property is tucked away, but when you find the spot, you’ll be glad you did.

3. Bay Hide Away RV Park (Bay St. Louis)

Bay Hide Away RV Park in Bay St. Louis, as the name suggests, is hidden away. It’s a great place to set up your RV and play at the beach. It’s also close to Old Town Bay St. Louis downtown, so you can hang out downtown all day before coming back to a park full of amenities for you, your family and your furry friends. The wide-open playground is a treat for the kids. There’s also a nine-hole disc golf course, a volleyball sand court, and plenty of covered pavilions. There is even a newly fenced area for pets to roam freely.

4. Davis Bayou Campground (Ocean Springs)

Davis Bayou Campground in Ocean Springs is only a few minutes from downtown. The location contains a fishing pier, visitor center open seven days a week, small boat and kayak launch, animal viewing platforms, and several covered pavilions with picnic tables. Federal Parks have rules and restrictions private parks might not, so check details at the government website and make your reservations at Davis Bayou Campground. If you are a senior, disabled or active military, you can apply for the discount pass and save 50 percent on stays. Davis Bayou books-up quickly for Cruisin’ the Coast, but still give them a try and you might get lucky.

5. Shepard State Park (Gautier)

Shepard State Park in Gautier is one of Mississippi’s most renowned parks. There have been updates, investments and the price is right. Seated along the Singing River, the park provides miles of hiking trails as well as a dog park. One unique amenity is the archery range on park grounds (waivers and reservation are needed). It is an older park with plenty of history to discover.

There are dozens more wonderful RV parks along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Still, these top five are sure to offer a friendly, quiet, affordable retreat to park your RV.
