Free Flowin’ Fest is an annual family-friendly music festival celebrating the beauty and history of the last and largest Free-Flowing River, the Pascagoula River. This year the music line-up is stacked with talent. Join the party early as the music starts at noon. Here are the top-rated bands will be performing: The Chitlins, The Tree-Oh, The Marlow Boys Trio, and Red Clay Stays.

The day-long annual event is the perfect way to spend the day outdoors. Expect fun for the kids, tasty food, local art vendors, and educational displays. This year, the location has changed to Beach Park, Pascagoula.

“We are excited to be playing at the Festival again this year,” Hugh O’Neil drummer for The Tree-Oh said. “I am looking forward to the new setting at Beach Park. It is sure to be a great event.”

Expect Jo “JoJo” Morris, who toured with Spyro Gyra, to be playing with Bob Erickson’s band The Tree-Oh, delivering their own rockin’ reggae blues sounds.

The Chitlins, another local favorite, just played at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Coliseum in Biloxi for the Crawfish Festival. Jay Patricks, songwriter & bassist, promises a great show, possibly with a new song called “Peace Love & Chitlins”. The local group rocks some heavy-weight musicians with Buddy Leach, who recently toured with George Thorogood, on saxophone, and Wayne Sharp, a two-time award-winning blues musician, on keyboard. This Mississippi band promises to bring several fun surprises, so come on out to hear them perform.

Red Clay Strays are also returning to the festival. They call Mobile, Alabama home, and the festival sure is lucky to have them again. Brandon Cole (lead vocal), Zach Rishel (lead guitar), Drew Nix, and Andrew Bishop round out the band with John W. Hall on drums. They deliver a unique mix of country and southern rock. Take a listen to one of their well-produced originals available to stream: “Good Godly Woman”.

The Marlow Boys Trio round out the line-up. Cousins Joe and Karl Langley have been making music together since they were kids. They offer sweet upbeat sounds, music that is sure to bring a smile to your face. Give these Alabama boys a big welcome as it is more than a treat to have them perform for the 2021 festival.

The City of Pascagoula and Main Street Pascagoula are sponsoring the event.
