Singing River Hospice of Light (HOL) will host a ribbon-cutting celebration honoring 30 years of service on Thursday, June 20, at 11:30 a.m. The event will be held at the Singing River Hospice of Light office, located at 1121 Ocean Springs Rd., Ocean Springs, MS. Lunch will be provided by DME Express and Your Choice Senior Care.
HOL extends an invitation to the families and friends of former patients to attend. The community is invited to meet the team, enjoy refreshments, win door prizes, and hear the inspiring success stories of former patients.
Singing River Hospice of Light takes great pride in being a longstanding provider of compassionate, expert, end-of-life care to patients and families for the past 30 years. The HOL footprint spans across seven southern Mississippi counties, including George, Greene, Hancock, Harrison, Jackson, Perry, and Stone.
“We are proud to be an established provider of hospice services for 30 straight consecutive years along the Gulf Coast,” said Ashley Sneed, clinical marketing liaison at Hospice of Light. “Our long-term tenure shows our unwavering dedication and passion to delivering specialized hospice care to patients and their families.”
With one of the largest hospice teams on the coast, our group of 16 registered nurses, 6 certified nursing assistants, and 3 social workers brings 244 years of cumulative experience in hospice care. Services include in-home, general inpatient, respite, and continuous care. Family members who lose loved ones are offered up to 13 months of bereavement services. Additionally, Bereavement Support Groups are always free and open to the public to anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one, whether they are receiving hospice services or not.
HOL is also honored to be recognized and specially trained to provide quality end-of-life care to veterans. Through a comprehensive assessment and implementation process, the staff gains insights into specific traumas and associated health risks, enabling them to tailor care for veterans and locate additional resources as needed.
