Looking for a unique way to spend a Saturday? How about a community yard sale in Pascagoula where anyone can bring stuff to sell or come to purchase goods. You may find something used or something brand new – there’s really no telling what you’ll find! Participate in this community-wide event at the first ever Main Street Pickers at the Menagerie in downtown Pascagoula on June 1.
The event is a collaboration between Rebecca Davis, director of Main Street Pascagoula, and Tina Hull, owner of The Menagerie on Market and will feature “gently used” yard sale merchandise. Vendors can also bring new merchandise as well. Inside, the Menagerie will also have sales on some of their regular items.
The event is open to anyone to be a vendor who might be looking to get rid of a few things or sale their creative wares.
“We are looking for anyone who has gently used or new items they are wanting to sell,” Davis said. “It could be plants, garden supplies, estate sales, antiques.”
Davis said she will have a spot where everything will be $1 and proceeds will go back to Main Street Pascagoula to help small businesses.
“It will be a great time for the community to come and have fun,” Davis said.
Another fun aspect to the day will include Calvin Parker attending the event to discuss his book “The Closest Encounter.” The book will be for sale and Parker will be available to sign copies during the event.
Main Street Pickers at the Menagerie will be held Saturday, June 1, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Menagerie on Market in downtown Pascagoula. The event is free to the public. The event is a Main Street, Menagerie on Market, and City of Pascagoula partnership event.
Vendors will pay a small fee to sell at the event. Contact Main Street Pascagoula at mainstreetpascagoula@gmail.com for more information on being a vendor or download the application here. Find more information on Facebook.
