The 12h annual Mississippi Songwriters’ Festival is back!

Last year, the event was held virtually. This year, you can expect nearly 100 original songwriters and performers to set up stage in multiple venues on the coast. The festival will be held September 16-19.

Here’s a look at the schedule:

Thursday, September 16: Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at the Mary C. O’Keefe Performing Arts Center from 7-9 PM with the Kickoff Party following from 9-11 PM at the Neon Moon

Friday, September 17: The festival officially begins at multiple locations across the coast, including Blue Merle, Murky Waters, Neon Moon, Julep Room, and Mosaic. Click here for all of the locations.

Saturday, September 18: The Youth Showcase will be held at Murky Waters from 12-2 PM. The Reggie Bates Scholarship Fundraiser takes place at the Mary C. O’Keefe PAC from 2-4 PM. Live performances begin at 5:30 PM.

Sunday, September 19: The festival showcases Christian country music, starting at 2 PM. From 3-9 PM, the Closing Festival Event takes place with the performers taking stage at Mosaic in Ocean Springs.

There will be music from former award winners, Nashville-performing artists, local talents, making for a truly special lineup this year. Come listen to the musicians sing their original songs at Mississippi Songwriters’ Festival and make sure to check out the Mississippi Songwriters’ Festival website for all of the details.
