Celebrity chef Guy Fieri is bringing his big, bold flavors and tasty twists on comfort food to the Horseshoe Tunica later this summer with his first restaurant in the Magnolia State.

And the menu includes a dish the spiky-haired Mayor of Flavortown created and is famously known for — Fieri’s Trash Can Nachos.

Although the Guy Fieri’s Tunica Kitchen + Bar doesn’t have a firm opening date, Derrick Madison, SVP & General Manager of the hotel and casino said job fairs are already underway to staff the 224-seat restaurant and bar.

“We’re thrilled to add Guy Fieri’s Tunica Kitchen + Bar to our culinary lineup on the property,” Madison said. “We’re confident that our guests will love what Guy has to offer and we can’t wait to bring the flavor to Mississippi.”

Fieri’s newest culinary inspiration is set to open on the main casino floor across from the World Series of Poker room, and it’s the first Fieri-brand restaurant in Mississippi.

The New York Times best-selling author and Emmy Award-winning T.V. commentator also host the wildly popular Food Network show “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” and the new restaurant will join Fieri’s wide range of culinary establishments, including Chicken Guy, Downtown Flavortown, Guy’s Pizza Parlor, and Guy’s Burger Joint. He is easily one of the world’s most influential culinary celebrities and even received a star on the historic landmark, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a rare feat for a chef.

The menu is set to offer an array of American-style cuisine that will also include burgers and sandwiches, and Fieri’s signature Trash Can Nachos are expected to be a popular menu selection. It’s a towering stack of off-the-chain deliciousness that features crispy tortilla chips, melty cheddar cheese, smoked brisket, and a wide variety of fixings crammed into a miniature garbage pail before being dumped out on the plate to transform it from a simple dish into a six-person fine-dining nacho experience.

And this is not the frosty-haired chef’s first culinary adventure in Mississippi. Fieri’s show has filmed nearly 40 seasons and visited more than 1,250 restaurants, cafes, and ramshackle eateries around the country, including several throughout the Magnolia State.

The Shed Barbecue & Blues Joint in Ocean Springs, Darwell’s Café in Long Beach, Blow Fly Inn in Gulfport, Memphis Street Café in Hernando, and Memphis Barbecue Co. in Horn Lake have each been a featured location on “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives” over the years.
