Nashville, TN – Since before he was born, Zachariah Smith has been a miracle. The heartbeat that was later found during his mother’s pregnancy was the first sign that God has a plan for him. Everything can change in a moment.

Smith has always captured the hearts of everybody he comes into contact with, whether it is on stage or during his direct service to his community.

The journey to becoming a country music recording artist began at a young age for Smith, when listening and singing along to Loretta Lynn’s “Coal Miner’s Daughter.” Zachariah always wanted to entertain, and still to this day, he cannot imagine doing anything else in his life but singing and performing. It is his character, charisma, determination and unique vocals that caught the attention of Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan and Katy Perry during his audition.

Zachariah and his wife Crysta have three kids, and they are his world. Throughout his long run, on American Idol Season 21, Smith kept saying, “I really want to show my kids that when you put your best foot forward, you can actually make your dreams come true.”

Performing weekly in front of more than five million viewers and finishing top five on American Idol last year was no easy feat, and his performances opened the door for him to share stages with music legends, such as Foreigner and Kevin Cronin of REO Speedwagon.

It is the work he has done since the show ended that is solidifying Smith’s place as a promising talent in the music industry. He has sold out several venues, including the 1,500-seat capacity Honeywell Center in Smith’s hometown of Wabash, Indiana, and rocked the stage in front of a large crowd at the Amory Railroad Festival, an event that attracted approximately 15,000 people throughout the day. As a recording artist, Smith’s first single, “American Grace,” made it to number 9 on the Country Now iTunes chart. His second single release, “Midnight in Mississippi,” pays tribute to Amory, Mississippi, where his family currently lives.

Now 21 years old, Zachariah Smith recently released “Rainy Days,” which he proudly performed LIVE on the Grand Ole Opry stage, while co-hosting the Inspirational Country Music Awards (ICMA) alongside Inside-Edition’s Megan Alexander. This song, now available on all major streaming platforms, dives deep into faith, family, and his commitment to God that has allowed him to triumph and experience all of these miracle moments. This was the perfect song choice for his performance at the ICMA’s, with this year’s theme as a “Family Reunion”, and for an organization that celebrates Christian country music artists who use their platform to share their powerful messages of the Christian faith.

“It is a true honor to be at the Grand Ole Opry and be a co-host at this year’s Inspirational Country Music Awards,” said Zachariah Smith. “My life has been full of miracle moments, and my music has brought me from the small towns of Wabash, Indiana where I can still call home and Amory, Mississippi where we have settled our family roots, to American Idol and performing on the stage at the Grand Ole Opry. I was flipping burgers when I auditioned for American Idol, and I thank God for this wonderful musical gift that allows me to spread messages of hope and encouragement for all to hear.”
