Public libraries play an essential role in community strength by supporting education, literacy, and endless knowledge for all who enter through their doors.

People come to libraries not only for information but also to make friends and benefit from free educational resources. Mothers often join story-time clubs with their young children, while elderly people attend various events and find ways to connect with people.

Teenagers can meet at the library with their study groups for teambuilding or school projects, while avid readers discuss current events in local book clubs.

Free resource workshops are often taught about art, finance, employment…and more.

Libraries often serve as community centers for diverse populations by supporting non-English speakers to help them integrate into the community.

Furthermore, for artists and art enthusiasts, public libraries can provide a place to arrange exhibitions and promote themselves.

One of the most significant and beautiful attributes about a public library is they provide access to the arts for all visitors, which alone is priceless, except…public libraries are free, which is also an added perk.

The Jackson-George Regional Library is no exception, as they continue to provide rich and diverse resources to all ages.
