Searching for a new restaurant with fresh tasty foods? Have you heard of the Wat Buddhametta Mahabaramee in Gautier? The Buddhist temple cooks up delightful tastes, wonderful steaming barbeque, and offers a relaxing atmosphere on the back lawn.

In the past year, they have constructed a newly built patio. This large open area provides the perfect space where freshly cooked meals are barbecued and prepared, overlooking a field with a scenic turtle pond. The entire family can relax as there’s a lot of open space and plenty of outdoor tables.

Each Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm, the monks and staff serve the affordable buffet that is prepared in front of you. The smoking barbecue offers enticing aromas. The menu will have your mouth watering as you order.

Hugh O’Neil, an Ocean Springs resident, said, “ I enjoy that they built the new big pavilion in the back. And, they offer a nice variety of Thai. I’ve enjoyed many dishes, and I highly recommend if you like spicy and want to wake up your taste buds, ask for the Papaya Salad.” The Papaya Salad may not be on the menu, but they will be happy to make the dish special for you.

There is a full Thai menu consisting of chicken wings, sausage, skewered pork meats, and best of all—the Thai egg rolls, crab rangoon, curry chicken, and Thai fried noodles. The tastes are so good, that you’ll be wanting to take some home.

Come for some delicious comfort food at Wat Buddhametta Mahabaramee every Sunday. This local Thai food is a joy to experience.
