In an overtime cliff hanger, the Mississippi Coast Coliseum delivered FPHL hockey excitement to a thunderous crowd on Friday night.

The stadium seemed near full with a reported 7,288 in attendance. The crowd on-hand was treated to non-stop hockey action. Only minutes into the first period, the gloves came off for the first fight of the evening.

The second of three FPHL hockey games scheduled this December held nothing back. The fans in attendance cheered, created fan waves, and tossed stuffed teddy bears when goals were scored.

Those in attendance truly support hockey returning in 2022. Val Nygaard, a hockey sponsor and owner of Val’s Sports Bar & Grill in Ocean Springs, was standing and cheering for virtually the entire game.

“It’s so super to be at a live hockey game, nothing like it. I can’t wait for the next one,” she commented.

Don’t let the third game pass you by. Support hockey on the Mississippi Gulf Coast on December 30, and let’s get our Sea Wolves back!

Tickets can be purchased at the coliseum box office or online.
