Front Beach in Ocean Springs just got better!

Last year, dozens of gorgeous palm trees were planted on the beach. Now, new exercise equipment has been installed. What a great way to encourage outdoor exercise.

Free for all to enjoy, the new exercise equipment includes multi-bars, a pull and dip station, a leg press, and much more! Beforehand, there were plenty of people who biked, walked, and jogged the paved path that follows along the 2.2-mile beach. With the new equipment, all of those people can now consider enhancing their workouts with a little strength training — all while taking in the Front Beach view.

The new equipment can be found in two different areas, one of which is across from Fort Maurepas Park where there’s already a splash pad and picnic pavilion available.

The investment in the project was reported to have cost about $20,000. A big thanks to Mayor Kenny Holloway, The Department of Parks and Recreation, and Public Works for providing this equipment and their constant work to improve The City of Ocean Springs.

Come take in the beauty of Front Beach and try out the new permanent exercise equipment for a healthy workout. Let’s exercise!
