Authors in residence with Twisted Run Retreat will be in attendance for an Authors in Residence Reading on Wednesday, Jan. 8, at the Vancleave Public Library beginning at 5 p.m.

Patrons are invited to attend this special Authors in Residence Reading with poets, fiction writers, and playwrights. Students interested in writing are urged to attend. Scheduled authors to appear are Isaac George Lauritsen, Corinna Munn, and Rachael Fowler.

Isaac George Lauritsen is a poet/playwright and a graduate student in the Creative Writing Workshop at the University of New Orleans. His poems can be found in Habitat Magazine, Inklette, and Octopus Books. In June 2019, he was a writer-in-residence at Twisted Run Retreat Center in Vancleave.

Corinna Munn is a second-year MFA student at University of New Orleans and the Creative Writing Workshop. Primarily a playwright, Munn has had plays produced and staged readings at the national Mid-America Theatre Conference. Her poetry has earned recognition as semi-finalist for the International Literary Awards’ Rita Dove Prize and a fellowship recipient and Poet of the Week with the Brooklyn Poets organization.

Rachael Fowler is pursuing her Ph.D. in Fiction at USM’s Center for Writers and was recently named winner of Prime Number Magazine’s Flash Fiction Contest. She was a finalist in the Glimmer Train Short Story award, nominated for many other national/international awards as well. Rachael currently serves as Associate Editor of Mississippi Review magazine.
