Over 4,800 people attended the successful grand opening of The Sound Amphitheater on Friday, April 12. The $8 million state-of-the-art venue, a cornerstone of the Town Commons Project, significantly impacts both the City of Gautier and the broader Coastal region both economically and culturally.
“This Grand Opening is a pivotal moment that will forever change the City of Gautier and the Coastal region for the better,” said Paula Yancey, Gautier City Manager. “It takes a team to make a dream come true. I am truly honored to have been a part of the team that made this dream a reality.”
The evening’s festivities commenced with a palpable sense of anticipation as community members gathered to witness the ribbon-cutting ceremony and inaugural performances. As the Resurrection Choir and the Gautier High School Choir and Band, comprised of talented young performers, took the stage, their impressive display of talent and passion captivated the audience and showcased the potential of the future generation.
The highlight of the evening was an unforgettable performance by KC and The Sunshine Band, setting the stage for countless memorable experiences to come.
