The second Annual Hancock County Parade of Homes is set for Saturday, April 18, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The parade, which is free and open to the public, will feature homes for sale throughout Hancock County.

The Inaugural Parade of Homes held in 2019 exceeded expectations. It was attended by approximately 500 people from 9 states. All homes listed sold within a very quick timeframe, and drew people to every corner of Hancock County. In all, it featured 38 homes for sale and a grand prize worth over $3,500. It had homes listed at every price point from the $130’s – $875,000 and included something for people in all stages of the home buying process, from first time homebuyers, to those upgrading or downsizing. There were representatives from homebuilders, real estate and insurance brokers, title companies, and mortgage lenders who were able to provide all the information needed to sell and buy a home.

“Hancock County is one of the fastest growing counties in Mississippi, and there are many reasons why,” said Regan Kane, Owner/Broker at John McDonald Realty and Co-Chairman of the Hancock Chamber Relocation Committee.

“We really have it all when it comes to quality living,” added Janice Guido, Co-Chair of the Parade of Homes.  “We have some of the lowest property taxes in the country. We also have a low cost of living, low crime rate, award winning schools, great weather, a variety of things to do, and a stable economy with NASA, the Navy and an international industrial base that provides our residents with solid, high paying jobs.”

Kane said the Chamber’s mission is to showcase the area’s quality living through this parade of some of the most attractive homes in the county. “We want to entice even more people to choose Hancock County as their primary and secondary residential choice.”

The Parade of Homes is currently seeking sponsors. Information on sponsorship packages is now available online at http://hancockmsmyhome.com. Questions may be directed to the Hancock Chamber of Commerce at 228-467-9048.

Attendees may register onsite at one of the homes. All registered attendees will be entered in the drawing for the grand prize giveaway, and will get an extra entry for every home they tour. Listings for homes on the tour will be available for viewing online toward the end of March and print maps will be available in April.

The Hancock Chamber Relocation Committee is dedicated to growing the number of primary and secondary home owners in Hancock County by marketing the area’s assets and high quality of life. See http://hancockmsmyhome for the most complete relocation resources.
