To raise awareness of early childhood education and the importance of reading, Chevron and the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic (MGRC) organized a “Read to Me” event at Kreole Elementary in Moss Point.
PGA Tour and Champions Tour player Jay Don Blake read to the pre-K children as part of the “Read to Me” program that is associated with Excel By 5.
Also, as part of the company’s ongoing commitment to early childhood education, Chevron, in partnership with the MGRC, made a $25,000 contribution to Excel By 5 to support local community literacy programs on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
